Westford Academy Theater Arts Performance

WATA represents Into The Woods. Directed by Larry Sousa and Michael Towers. Into the Woods is a unique musical from the fairy tales of brothers Grimm. The musical is full of songs, suspense and romance with plenty of humor and action to appeal to children and adults. Tickets at the box office at Westford Academy or online through Merrimack Valley Arts. Location: Westford Academy.

Chess club is open for all. No need to register, drop-ins are welcome. Chess club is for anyone from first grade to highschool and meets every Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Roudenbush. Casual fun setting and players will be paired with appropriate levels. $2 fee per session.

The Westford Rotary Club is hosting a charitable event at the Nashoba Valley Snow Tubing Park on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008 from 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

All proceeds go to the Westford Rotary Charitable Endowment, Inc. which provides scholarships to Westford students. Bring your friends and have some fun for a charitable cause! Downloadable discount coupons for this events are available! There is a Free drawing prize slip with every tubing ticket!

The Lowell Winterfest also includes crafts, live entertainment, a soup bowl competition and the crowd pleasing favorite – the National Human Dogsled Championships. Minutemen Open House at the Westford Museum

Colonial menThe Westford Colonial Minutemen will host an open house at the Westford Museum on Sunday, February 10, from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Members of the unit will be on hand to answer questions on what it takes to join the modern Minuteman, or to informally discuss Westford's role in the Revolutionary War. Members will also be available to talk about many other subjects, including how to make or obtain period appropriate, 18th century clothing, and this year's Col. John Robinson Trail march to Concord. The afternoon will also feature period woodworking demonstrations. Everyone is invited and there is no obligation to join. The Westford Colonial Minutemen isn't just for "men". Butterfly HouseVictorian Courtship Tea

Looking for something to do during February break? How about having Victorian Tea with Rita Parisi as Mrs. Gordon. This event is for tweens and teens grades 5 to 12 and will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 3:00 p.m. Come have tea and delectable goodies and learn how young ladies and gentlemen got acquainted and dated back in the 1890's. Find out about the rituals of romance, etiquette, and socializing in the Victorian Era. Come dressed up and enjoy tea and fancy refreshments. Bring a friend, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother or any other special person. Registration begins Monday, Feb. 4 in the Youth Services Dept. of the Fletcher Library 978-692-5555. The tea will be held in the Meeting Room.

snowtubingLeap Year Concert by Westford Teen Arts Council (WTAC)

Just for Teens! An extra day to make some music! Westford Teen Arts Council programs are produced by and for teens, eighth grade and older. WTAC need artists to create publicity for each show, producers to solicit performers and run the shows, sound technicians and performers for all types of music: rock, rap, jazz, acoustic, and classical! Volunteers are also needed to work at an event, collect admission, or work in the kitchen. All events are held at the Parish Center for the Arts from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.
